The Alzheimer’s Society have a one to one service that provides information, advice and emotional support to Carers as part of the Cheshire West Carer Support Service. This includes managing difficult behaviour and planning for the future. They also deliver a range of groups and activities that carers can access both individually and with the person with dementia. If you are affected by dementia, our specialist services are designed to help you maintain your independence and wellbeing, and support you in your caring role.
Activity groups run in Neston and Helsby and Singing for the Brain groups run in Chester and Hartford.
In addition to this, they offer a telephone Carer befriending service that provides a weekly telephone call to Carers who are unable to attend the office or groups on a regular basis.
